Avengers: EMH #4 cover

OK, technically this came out last week, but I just found that out. I drew the lead 10-page story in this issue, featuring a battle between The Incredible Hulk and the ever-lovin’ blue-eyed Thing! I didn’t draw this cover art, but this is the cover to be looking for if you want to find the issue in your local shop! Story by Christopher Yost, pencils by yours truly, and inks by Terry Pallot.

In addition to Dr. Banner and Mr. Grimm, the story also features Thor, the Grandmaster and Champion!

Young Justice Teaser Video

They showed a video teasing upcoming episodes of Young Justice at the San Diego Comic Con, and that video is now available at the Warner Bros. site.

The video is a sizzle reel showing where the series is going as we move deeper into Season 2, including peeks at a couple of new villains.

Until the series returns to Cartoon Network with new episodes in your fall, be sure to get your fix with the Young Justice Comic – new issue out Wednesday!

As always, you can pick it up at your local comics shop or in digital form!

Last call for Young Justice #17

Giant Cobra on Hennepin Mall

Giant Cobra on Hennepin Mall

Before Young Justice #18 comes out next Wednesday, I wanted to make one last plug for the current issue, Young Justice #17. For my local friends, you won’t want to miss the Minneapolis landmarks featured in this story, and it’s chock-full of action as Robin, Kid Flash and Artemis do battle with the Kobra Cult while their Justice League mentors Batman, Flash and Green Arrow have to contend with a giant cobra rampaging through the City of Lakes. (That’s Minneapolis, in case you don’t know. I just wanted to avoid saying Minneapolis twice in one sentence!)

Here’s a couple of nice reviews in case you needed further convincing:

CVG 2013 Ad – Key

If you were at CONvergence last weekend, you probably saw this promotional art for next year’s convention and it’s British Invasion theme. I wanted to post a key to the references it contains for those that might not have gotten all of them.

  1. Connie as Emma Peel from The Avengers
  2. Professor Max as John Steed from The Avengers
  3. Connie Mark 2 as Nathan from Misfits
  4. That Smiley Planet Guy from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
  5. God from Monty Python and the Holy Grail
  6. The Liberator from Blake’s 7
  7. Starbug from Red Dwarf
  8. Harry Potter from… uh… Harry Potter
  9. An alien walker from John Christopher’s Tripods
  10. Thunderbird 1 from Gerry Anderson’s Thunderbirds
  11. The TARDIS from Doctor Who
  12. Graffiti from V for Vendetta
  13. A Triffid from Day of the Triffids

Not numbered, but visible in the background: The London Eye, Big Ben, and a Double-Decker London bus.

I considered adding a reference to The Prisoner or Sherlock Holmes or James Bond… but I didn’t want to over-clutter it. There’s a whole year ahead to reference the works of H.G. Welles, Sapphire and Steel, 28 Days Later, Quatermass
