Young Justice #19
Out today is YOUNG JUSTICE #19.
Will the rise of Gorilla City mean the fall of Young Justice? (SPOILER: No it won’t)
Despite what the solicitation says, I didn’t draw this one! I did the cover, but they wanted more padding in the schedule as we moved into the Season 2/Young Justice: Invasion phase of the series, so they had me skip from #18 right to drawing #20. I drew the cover (which is a favorite), but the interiors were drawn by Luciano Vecchio, and the story is by Greg Weisman.
Next issue the Season 2 characters are introduced to the comic, as Dick Grayson becomes Nightwing, Blue Beetle, Wonder Girl, Bumble Bee, Lagoon Boy, Beast Boy and Tim Drake as Robin join the team! It’s coming in just 3 weeks on September 19!
Until then, issues #0-19 are currently available and #20 is due out September 19! Pick an issue up in digital form or at your local comic shop!
Comics Continuum TV
So back at C2E2 (that’s the Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo) I was interviewed for the Comics Continuum TV Show. The Caped Crusader Rises
I just made this for no good reason. It was in my head and it had to come out. I now return to actual work.
I just posted a number of new pieces to the gallery of header artwork that randomly populates the spot at the top of this blog. Most of them are horizontal slivers of covers or interior art from recent issues of Young Justice. Refresh the page a few times to check some of them out! The old ones are still in there too, so don’t be surprised of some familiar ones pop up.

He is coming…
I can’t show you the whole cover to Young Justice #23 yet, but when you see it in a month’s time, you’ll see one of my favorite covers I’ve drawn for the series so far, and one of my favorite character designs. The character in question appears before then, but here’s an even earlier peek, pencils and inks by me, colors by Zac Atkinson.
