Coming to Pikeville Comic Con

On Saturday August 25 I’ll be at Pikeville Comic Con in Pikeville, KY. As usual I’ll have 11″x17″ and 8.5″x11″ prints for sale and am happy to chat with fans and autographs and photos are free (as always)!

Commission Sketches

But what about commission sketches? Yes, I’ll be doing those, too. But it’s a 1-day convention and time will be short. I’ll only have time for a few sketches in between talking to fans at my table throughout the convention day. If you want a sketch from me at Pikeville Comic Con, I recommend emailing me NOW and placing an order in advance. Then I can walk into the convention with the artwork already done and ready for pick-up.

My rates continue to be $60 for a head-and-shoulders character sketch, $100 for a full-figure view of a character. I can add additional characters to the same sketch for $80 per character. My sketches are ink drawings are black and white line art on 9″x12″ Bristol. I’ll do commission sketches for the same rates in sketchbooks or on sketch covers for the same rates if you provide the book.

Wanting some original art from me but won’t be in Pikeville, Kentucky this Saturday? I’m also taking pre-orders for New York Comic Con in October, and can also send commission sketches by mail (but I’ll have to charge an additional shipping fee for that option).

I’ll have my usual mix of Doctor Who and superhero prints available at the Pikeville convention. My 11″x17″ prints are $20 each or 3 for $50.

I’ll be at Comic Card on Saturday June 27!

If you’re in the Twin Cities area and want to see me to have me sign your books, to buy one of my prints or comics, or to even have me draw a sketch for you, you’re in luck! On Saturday June 27 I will be a guest at ComicCard along with fellow comics creators Paul Pelletier, Erik Burnham, Dave Wheeler, Frank Fosco, and Dave Strong.

ComicCard brings the best of comic books, sports cards, memorabilia and pop culture collectibles under one roof, and will also feature sports guests including former Vikings Jake Reed and Keith Millard.

I’ll have my usual selection of prints from my 11″x17″ full color prints for $20 each or 3 for $50, and 8.5″x11″ black-and-white prints $5.

Denver Comic Con THIS WEEKEND – Schedule Update

I’ll be joining my Young Justice partner-in-crime Greg Weisman at the Denver Comic Con this weekend, so it’ll be a great opportunity to get us BOTH to sign all those Young Justice comic books and prints! And Young Justice fans also won’t want to miss Khary Payton (the voice of Aqualad) and Kelly Hu (the voice of Cheshire) who will also be there!

I’ll be kicking off my time in Denver with the Denver Comic Con Pre-Party on Thursday night starting at 6:00pm at Mile High Comics. So if you’re in the area, come and say hi! (I’ve never been to Denver before and could definitely use suggestions for where to spend my time outside of the convention.)

Once the convention gets underway, you’ll be able to find me at CC9 in the “Comic Book Classroom Corral” area all three days. Here’s a handy map to help you find my table:

Young Justice Meet-up

Saturday 6/1     7:30pm–8:20pm     Room 104
We’ll be convening in Room 104 at the conclusion of the “Nuts and Bolts of Writing Comics” panel (which features Greg Weisman and a host of other powerhouse comics writers.) Greg will join us for photos and an informal chat about Young Justice and its fandom. This will be your best opportunity at the con if you want photos with both Greg and me. Come hang out with us!

Signing at the Aurora Rise Booth

Sunday 6/2      12:00pm-1:00pm      Booth 528
Aurora Rise is a Section 501(c)(3) non profit charitable organization founded in the wake of the Century 16 Aurora theater shooting on July 20, 2012. It has been created by victims to help other victims with small acts of assistance and kindness.

I will be spending some time at their booth, signing these black and white 4×5″ Young Justice mini-print cards for FREE. I encourage you while you’re there to check out the cool merchandise, limited edition prints and First EVER Limited Edition Aurora Rise Sketchbook Vol 1 that they’ll have available at the convention! At my table, I am happy to sign anything you bring me! I will be doing commission sketches ($60 full characters; $30 headshots) and I will have Young Justice trade paperbacks for sale, as well as a few Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes trades and a couple copies of the new Day of Judgement trade paperback. (There’s a story about that last one… ask at your own risk!!) Oh, and let’s not forget…
