That’s the info from the official DC solicitation. The action is getting pretty epic, I can assure you! I’m still having a great time drawing the new Season 2 Young Justice characters, plus all the amazing guest heroes and villains! This is the full reveal of the cover I was teasing a few weeks ago, showing the villain Kylstar. He’s an existing character – a lesser-known bad guy from Greg Weisman’s days on Captain Atom – but he’s been given a bit of a Young Justice makeover. And the Justice League are in trouble! The Invasion continues!
Young Justice #19 is still on the stands, and #20 will be out THIS WEDNESDAY! You can find Young Justice at your local comics shop or in digital form!

Hope you have time eventually to do an entry on the making of this cover. So pretty and shiny… uh what?
Did you know who Kylstar was prior to working on this arc or did you have to ask Mr. Weisman first?

Yeah, I’m way behind on my Creating a Cover series. I’m gonna try to play catch-up before NYCC.
And no, I had not happened to read that one issue of Captain Atom so I was not familiar with Kylstar. But I think he’s a pretty effective villain in the Young Justice context. Hopefully others will agree!

Yeah, me neither. Had a hard time finding info on him/it on the Internet even. I think it was the same way with Noor Harjavti from season one.

Well just because a character isn’t well known doesn’t mean they can’t be a strong character. I think it’s actually pretty cool that Greg can mine his earlier comic book experience for these forgotten gems and revamp and reuse them in Young Justice.
