While I think it’s safe to say that the name is a deliberate reference to Garn Daanuth, I wouldn’t assume any further connection to the biography of the existing character.

That would Danuuth. He is meant to have white hair and a pale, albino skin tone. In the story you’re seeing him in the context of the ambient lighting scheme…

It was a combination of both. I drew in image that was sort of blobby and simplified, and Zac exaggerated the effect further at the coloring stage. Glad you liked it!

Regardless of the merits of the cause, the banner on the Young Justice #14 cover did make the book look all the more cluttered, especially since it hadn’t been planned for at the layout stage.

Glad you liked the cover for #15. I tend to like the more design-y layouts, but it can be hard to make them work sometimes on covers that are required to include large numbers of characters, or that are geared to suit Art Director Mark Chiarello’s desire for more action on the covers. But the main thing is to change it up form month to month and always have the cover art be something striking that makes you want to pick up the book and look inside.

As for the pun on the cover of #15, wait for Young Justice #19!

Could you state (for the record) the name of the royal guard who’s actually a purist too? The long blond haired one who had a cameo on this issue and on the previous one too.

Thanks!

That blurry effect, was that drawn and colored that way, or digitally treated afterwards?

It’s just putting too much, from an art standpoint makes the product sorta busy…

That aside, I found this to be one of the neatest covers along with Captain Atom’s Uncle Sam homage. Not too hot about the catch phrase pun though.

Not sure where Zac’s signature went. You’d have to ask him!
