Hey, Mr. Jones. I’m liking most of what I see on this issue. But there’s one little thing that I’m a bit confused about here. By the events of this issue, Superboy has been given the civilian name “Conner Kent”. But on the title spread, as you can probably see, the name descriptions still give him as just “Superboy” instead of “Conner Kent a.k.a. Superboy” like I thought they would name him. Was this intentional or did you guys just forget to rename him?

I’m afraid you’d have to ask Greg on that one. I just drew the pictures!

Excellent work on the issue! I really dug the extra attention to detail, the close up of Ultra-Humanite and the gorilla’s fur was looking really slick. The Team looked really well drawn in this issue, in particular – I liked the inking and coloring choices with Artemis. Kid Flash’s infrared goggles during his scene with Grodd looked wicked good.

I have one question, hopefully you can help. On page 4 when Batman shows Bwunda on the holomap, there’s those statistics to the right. I think one line had the name of the capital city – any chance you know what they were and can list them here, please?

Thanks for all the kind words.

Sadly, all the smaller text on this displays is *meant* to be illegible and would be considered non-canon. The small text is mostly gibberish, even before it’s shrunken down and angled to be placed into the artwork.

I see, no prob. Glad to have that cleared up than wonder about it perpetually. Thought I saw a ‘Wabana’ or something as the capital and figured there was more to it. But yeah, thanks for the quick reply.

That capital had been bugging me too. In the comics, it was Barraville (an obvious Brazzaville shout out) and this didn’t quite match that.

Did you draw those first three pages of recap from memory or did you rewatch the episodes?

And never mind the monkeys – wouldn’t you also get tired of drawing all those leaves?
